The Chavez regime nuking oil production is the literal start of how Venezuela collapsed into poverty so quickly, and it's not like the money they were making from the limited production from the state ran oil producers under Maduro were flowing back into the people or infrastructure lol.

Venezuela was one of the wealthiest and most prosperous countries in South America pre-Chavez when they had agreements with American oil companies and America was paying for their oil.
If you genuinely believed America was going to invade and occupy Venezuela and just loot the oil reserves (not how that works anyway) u are delusional and out of touch.
America ousting Maduro was done out of self interest, and yet this will likely open the door for Venezuela to come back to being a first world country.
