opiumgoblinI'll preface by saying I'm not a fan of this move or any unnecessary military operation on foreign soil, with that said the way this was conducted was literal best case scenario.
Maduro was removed <2 hours and afaik there has been zero casualties reported, at worst nothing changes for Venezuela at best they have a chance to become a functioning thriving democracy again which is a certainly a better position then the country was in 24 hours ago.
Yes the US did this acting out of self-interest in bringing American companies back to Venezuelan oil and pissing on Russia and China's sphere of influence, however that does not null my point above.
Calling this is an act of war when the regime we would be at "war" with is likely to implode within the next 24 hours is disingenuous, there's not going to be a conflict in Venezuela man pretending otherwise is pure delusion.
I don't want the US acting as the world police but today's events are a net positive for society and acting otherwise to dunk on Trump is cringe.

The real reasons why Trump attacked Venezuela:
1. Trump and Marco Rubio (he's mainly responsible for this operation) have a personal vendetta/ grudge against Maduro
2. Trump + Marco Rubio are trying to appease a part of the base who want this
3. Venezuela is too closely align with China + Russia
4. Control of oil + influence in the region

The people of Venezuela currently under Maduro do not benefit from their limited oil production, as I said earlier if all the oil in Venezuela disappeared today the average citizen would literally feel no difference because they already don't benefit from it because the Maduro regime was pocketing that money.
