It’s strange, I’ve been mostly fine in online matches. It’s when I do anything offline where the game runs like poo

Yeah being exclusive to one platform limits its playerbase potential (and it’s not F2P like MV).

Worst of all Steve is the most broken character in that game, but surprisingly last few times I played Smash online, I rarely ever encountered a Steve player, so Steve being broken mostly pertains to competitive Smash.

Also.. not having Squad Strike online is a missed opportunity. I would’ve played much more on that mode alone.

But overall it seems like the Smash hype died shortly after Sora dropped

Nintendo knows what it has with Smash, and knows its audience isn’t gonna go anywhere for a “replacement”. Sure other platform fighters will peak interest, but nothing will replace it. Nickelodeon, Rivals, & this still try so hard to cater to the competitive crowd but still don’t meet the mark. Even Brawlhalla with how huge it is still doesn’t have the casual aspect of Smash. People forget smash grew a competitive scene by complete accident lmao

Ultimate needs a bunch of balance tweaks, QOL improvements, and changes. Still, it’s one of the best selling games on the EShop and it’s still raking in players constantly. Yeah, DLC support is gone, and competitive scene in shambles, but the game is still running laps around these other platform fighters

If Nintendo announced Ultimate Deluxe rn, watch how quick niggas would drop mvs lmao

Why would they slow it down and add all that hit lag? Game looks clunky. And the zoomed in camera isn’t what they thought it was. This game definitely is not replacing smash. I do like the anti gravity platform idea though
