Music, because it soundtracks our lives and can be experienced while doing anything.
You have to dedicate actual time to game
music listening is literally the only medium you dont have to dedicate time/attention too
probably one of the reasons its the literal most universal thing in the world
Music. Video games fell off. Maybe 30% of the games I try if that are fun
i felt the same until i expanded my interests, gave other genres a chance and stuck to certain niches
literally the same with music
used to be a time where i would try to play and listen to "everything"
but now i know what i like and know myself well enough - plus take a bit more "risks" once in a while
but gaming wise i learned a long time ago during early ps4 as long as i avoid ea, ubisoft and activison games then im good 90% of the time and it legit made the medium infinitely more enjoyable personally
music >>>>>>>>>
single-player games never been something i could get really lost in tbh and that's usually the medium people refer to when they view video games in such high regard
multiplayer is way more my speed, but doing it in ways such as competitively can really make you form a love/hate relationship with something you used to get a lot of enjoyment out of
definitely put respect on stuff that rockstar does or even nintendo with the zelda games i love those. really looking forward to GTA 6
Games when i was younger, music now. Would rather draw than play games and I usually listen music when i draw.
if i’m really into a game i don’t need music in my day
can’t say the same the other way around
never once said “damn wish i could play this game, but the music has me in a hold”
What about GTA?
i felt the same until i expanded my interests, gave other genres a chance and stuck to certain niches

I think it’s just me getting older tbh. First Pokémon gen I skipped, didn’t cop tears of the kingdom. I’d rather spend my time doing other s*** these days. Like I could literally not touch my ps5 until GTA 6 comes out and be cool with that.
Music. I’ve been gaming my whole life but I barely play games anymore while I’m listening to music 24/7
gaming
i’ve been slacking at checking out any recent releases this year
last time i was doing that was 2020 and that was because a lot of big stuff was dropping
Better question Is Who gonna be the next mf to make the music that is impactful as GTA V/GTA VI
Video Game Soundtracks though
if i’m really into a game i don’t need music in my day
can’t say the same the other way around
never once said “damn wish i could play this game, but the music has me in a hold”
That’s the beautiful thing about music though. It doesn’t need to occupy your entire day to exist in your life. It’s literally the soundtrack to our daily existence
