Sunset Sound Studios where all of 1999, Purple Rain, Parts of Controversy, Around the World in a Day, Parade and SOTT was recorded/overdubbed and mixed. Van Halen also used it to record their debut album, The Doors, Beach Boys and Toto were frequent users of Sunset Sound

Whole studio is still in use actually, Lana del Rey has recorded there in the last few years. Elton John has remastered some of his albums in there recently and I believe regular folk/starters can rent out rooms if they call up
