People like this really make Islam look bad. They’re like the Muslim equivalent of the Christians that believe that Earth is 2000 years old.
only if you specifically focus on them being muslim tbh
are we forgetting all the church's that had emergency meetings about Lil Nas X just a couple months ago
religious extremists are everywhere
No the problem is humans. If religion didn’t exist we would just find something else to take to the extreme and kill people for. We kill each other over anything just like any other animal. The only difference is we’re smart enough to even kill each other over abstract concepts that we can not even see with our own eyes.
I didn’t say eradicate religion, nor do I think that doing so would eradicate conflict.
Things such as homophobia are just (almost) exclusively driven by religion and I personally find it batshit crazy that people believe in stories from centuries old books as though it’s transcendental truth
People can do what they want tho

you're not completely wrong but it doesn't help that some religions have an extremely "us or them" mindset towards other religions and beliefs
The logic tho
Listen to music > gets drunk > goes to clubs > sleep with chicks > becomes gay

Yeah I mean to each his own. If you believe then you believe and if you don’t then you don’t. But things like homophobia would probably still exist even without religion. Any group of people that are a minority (besides the rich) are usually ostracized. That’s basically been the case for all of human history across all religions.
People blame religion, yet what people are looking to do is establish culture. Education on being a man is apart of that culture.

I mean what group doesn’t? That’s literally the entire point of a group, so that you can separate yourself from the rest of society.
I mean just look at this site. People here talk s*** about sites like Twitter and Reddit when this place is almost the same thing. And this is just a f***ing website. Literally not even a physical thing. And we still have an Us vs. Them mentality.

Thing is, these books at least the Holy Bible is a transcendental book. If everyone could do transcendental meditation ppl would go off n do so. The same with understanding the scriptures: it’s not for everyone bc not everyone has the ability to understand it. Ppl have an opinion and take their thoughts as truth.
Just accept it isn’t for you or maybe you aren’t in a certain place in your life for God to reveal to you His word.
Religion has established a pagan root within the Bible and that’s why there’s so much confusion going forth in the world.
Job 9:24
24 The earth is given into the hand of the wicked: he covereth the faces of the judges thereof; if not, where, and who is he?
