If theres real money involved i think this is genius with normal people playing but if it actually took off you know the labels and corporations will get involved and ruin it

Your totally right which is why we will never work with record labels or corporations. In our mind record labels help artists in 4 areas: Marketing, Distribution, Networking, and Money. We think that rappers can effectivly market their music via social media as well as connect with other artists on these platforms. Distribution is also solved by companies like distrokid which cost the artist $100 max to get their albums into any streaming platform they want. This leaves us with money. Right now record labels have a monopoly on investing in music futures and we think this is silly. By allowing fans to invest, more artists get funded because fans have higher risk tolerances. Ultimately, this would progress the music industry to get rid of record labels or have record labels become specialized music marketing or distribution companies

Yo sorry i never hit you back. Been very busy on my end doing this as well as school. In terms of IP we have our own algorithm that can estimate the total amount of streams an artist as well as turn that number into a dollar amount. Furthermore, we also have a decay algorithm that can projection stream decay over time. Right now, there is no one who is able to do this and we believe due to the complexity of the streaming industry it will take a while before anyone can try to replicate this. As regards to only starting with two albums, we will constantly be adding new albums as they are being released. Since we can't add existing albums, its kind of a waiting game for new albums to be released.

I think you should get to real money as soon as you can. Idgaf about the game aspect but an actual betting market for music streams is interesting.

"Our own algorithm" ... can you post your predictions for tomorrow's streams for any artist?

this is our gameplan. we are just doing this for investors rn to show market interest. weve been talking to a bunch of artists trying to get them on our platform when we drop w/ real money. Gonna try to get 2 a/b list artists when we officially drop

yup! almost any artists. Each day we collect streaming information for almost every song released in the past 2 years. We have slowly been amassing this huge dataset. From the data, we generate the algorithms I mentioned. Its really interesting because you can see how albums perform in comparison with each other as well as see the social media a***ytics of artists going into the release of their album. So basically we can say this artists is in this percentile of popularity, and therefore, is expected to generate an average of x amount of revenue.

Lol I was challenging you to prove that you can predict an artist's streaming numbers within a reasonable % error. Like literally just pick one, tell us what the algorithm predicts for tomorrow and we'll see if you have what you say you have

Ayo! thanks for the thoughtful suggestion. Our entire website is actually being redone right now. That is the old version that I personally coded (which is why its trash lol). We have a professional developer finishing it up so that will be fixed when released!

F*** yeah man! How would you do it in a video game form? Like create your own artist and then simulate competitors and their success?

Wouldn't individuals who work for them just buy shares for artists they know they're going to push super hard tho?

We will have legal policy in place to prevent "affiliates" of artists from buying that artists shares. So when you create an account as an investor, you can declare if you have a relationship with the artist. We will also have an algorithm designed at identifying suspicious trading activity. If we believe you are insider trading we will suspend account and investigate.
