yeah but that would require labels to stockpile merch for weeks just to ship on time and elongate rollouts, plus they have to provide merch without bundles. i think the new rules are too inconvenient for labels to try to play by, shawn mendes merch site stopped doing bundles altogether

Idk I think people like Trav and Taylor has done so much merch they have good numbers to go by and just have s*** ready
    Others not so much tho

Will Dynamite go back to #1? I hope. It’s such a good pop song.

Forcing buyers to opt in rather than opt out could be big as well. But if fans are buying for the sole purpose to affect chart position they'll still opt in anyway

Looks like they're acknowledging their influence on the charts lmao

The barbs famously went broke sending say so to #1 and it was because of early predictions

talk of the charts the best to ever do chart watching, they actually have an impact on the charts itself even if it is mostly negative

Brysons last album did over 100k too and he was coming off a 3 year break

I think he shouldve taken more time to promote his comeback

Compared to the big name rappers doing 550k?

Yeah, like I said, not a lot
They’re at the peak cause they’re black women

uh, yeah, the biggest rnb artists aren't gonna do as well as the biggest rap artists because rap is a bigger genre, that doesn't mean rnb isn't selling well, not selling as well as the biggest genre in the country isn't selling poorly, both of those are great numbers in this current era. Also there are only like 5 rappers total that can push 500k first week so I'd say that's a bit of an overstatement.

Bryson just isn't selling greatly, at least not with this album, it's not a direct problem with rnb as evidenced by Jhene/Summer's numbers and what SZA will likely do with her next album, them being black women doesn't somehow change this either lol.

Yeah they are. But the US headquarters of both companies would be making marketing decisions for their territory with an independent advertising agency most likely. Although I interviewed with Samsung and everything I heard made it obvious the place is run by employees that come over from Korea.

Regardless, it feels like a coordinated nationwide attempt at culture export and it's weird
