well it will definitely do more than MOTS7 as a result of how much the fanbase has grown since then and that did 422k.

also it's gonna have 2 months of preorders, so there's that.

like you said seeing the dynamite numbers makes me believe they could do some insane numbers, the thing is this also might be the last album we get before one of the members have to enlist so that could likely motivate the fanbase even more so to push it, I've seen some say 7 Million WW is the goal (bcuz 7 members in the group) but idk how realistic that is + they have a massive fanbase globally so there's no telling how much the US base would be a part of that. I guess around 600k would be my very early uneducated guess? more or less.

I am almost 100% certain they will at least end up with the second highest first week of the year in the US though.

In a world without the new bundle rules and if BTS were to actually use bundles they legit could've pushed some WILD first week numbers in the US, especially since bts' merch sells out in like 5 mins most of the time, they've been very generous to never use bundles but yeah but I'm doubtful they'd ever use bundles anyway.
