I hate these kinds of tweets because it’s completely negating the actual people who bought and listened to the albums. Nearly every western act was bundling.
Also this tweet conveniently left out the fact that BTS released like 4 different versions of the same exact album.

I think more artists will adopt the multiple versions gimmick. Taylor Swift already did it with Lover on top of her merch bundles, ticket bundles and pre-orders.

Can we just release music ffs
Can we just release music ffs
You gotta realize these folks been using gimmicks to sell records forever, most of us only got hip after Travis did it with Astroworld. They're gonna exhaust every loophole possible until billboard bans them all
Mods lame as f***, I guess only certain artists are allowed to have separate threads about sales
Anyway

Yeah but the problem with that is billboard no longer counts physical sales until the item actually ships. If they want it to ship first week, they need to have the album finished long before the release date & they're instantly susceptible to their music being leaked. I don't think physical sales will matter at all in the near future, no matter how many covers there are

I thought they were just doing that for digital albums attached to merch and tickets? They're seriously going to apply that to CDs too?
I mean certain artists could still get away with that if that's the case, Taylor did it through Target who distributed the CDs on release. Most labels aren't shipping CDs for a few weeks after release nowadays though
Juice sold over 500 and Niggas was saying that Drake and Kendrick would barely do 500 because of the climate, if they didn’t do bundles.
Pop Smoke's and Juice WRLD's numbers are honestly insane, especially Juice

Don't s*** on Juice for having bundles post-death. That is all
