Man I like the album but wtf happened with the mixing? Why is there like no bass throughout? Everything is so thin sounding

It’s baffling because Hit’s projects always sound amazing

Thought it was my subs going out. I wanted some driving music tbh seeing hitboy. There were 3 big songs for me.

Albums is pretty nice though but definitely could have used some more basslines throughout.

The last bit of between love and war where the drums mute out was begging for a quick Nas verse

When I was listening to this I wasn’t even paying attention to the bass so I didn’t notice like y’all did. The songwriting and vocal performances carried the album for me

It’s both the drums & bass, the drums are so light on some tracks they may as well just be finger snaps

Agree though the songwriting is fantastic

maybe a situation like the Cordae album where Nas was supposed to make an appearance but he pulled the verse last minute
