Finally tapped into this after years of having it saved and reading the praise and I can confirm that it’s a beautiful album for sure

i like some songs on it but not really the album as a whole. i get why people like it but there are other shoegaze albums that i like way more

I wish all of it sounded like Sometimes and When You Sleep, theyre also the most poppy

I’ve tried to take walks to this albums before and always find myself getting irritated but when you’re laying in the dark while listening to it not long before bed it’s a masterpiece

For me this is THE quintessential shoegaze album and sound, and I haven't heard much that comes close. I'm sure many would disagree. Personally though, when anyone describes a track without any fuzz walls, pitch bends or reverse reverb as shoegaze, i am disgusted. I blame this album for my guitar pedal addiction.

Isn’t Anything is a perfect post-punk album. Really wish they did another ep with that raw sound before Loveless.

Soundtrack to my high school years. One of the greatest pieces of art ever made. Getting high and melting away listening to this on summer days is the best. Listen to it at least a couple times a year for over a decade.
