My Brilliant Friend is an Italian show that focuses on two young girls after WWII living in a poor neighborhood of Italy. It's about their friendship and the relationships they have in the community and takes place over the span of like 40 years. Based on the excellent books by Elena Ferrante

ok so the synopsis doesn't sound that interesting, but this show is so incredibly well done that for me it's reached tier 1 of all time TV shows. everything from the directing, acting, cinematography, music, and pace is all top notch. it's being heavily slept on but will become a cult classic in the future. the 2nd season finished about a month ago and each season has 8 episodes. if you're looking for something to watch, give this a try.

I'm intrigued, and I need a show to watch. Will peep.

I didn't think I would like this show when I heard about it but I gave it a chance anyways and the writing, directing, cast, and literally everything about this show blew me away
