She was ran over by a family friend backing out of our yard. She's old and has arthritis, so the injuries were severe enough to crush her pelvis. The vet said that there was about a 30% chance she wouldn't survive overnight, and that surgery would be expensive and risky. We didn't have the money for surgery, and the injuries were severe enough that she would be immobile and in constant pain without it. I made the call to euthanize her. Mom sat with her and brought her my stuffed animal since I had to stay home and take care of my grandma. I said my goodbyes in the truck before they left.

You were my best friend.
Sorry for your loss, I lost a dog recently too and it's the most heartbreaking thing anybody could go through.
see this is why I don't get a dog I don't want to add more potential heartbreak RIP your dog
RIP to her
Iโm so sorry. Rest In Peace Ladybird

Damn, I wish I could give you a hug fam
I know that s*** hurts
Edit: I actually had a very similar situation. Old dog, had to be euthanized. I remember calling her over to the car, she was hesitant (like she knew something was up). Picked her up, and said my goodbyes. As soon as my mom drove off I cried my eyes out. I still get emotional thinking about it.
Rest easy ๐๐งก im so sorry this had to happen so suddenly Steph. I hope nothing but tender memories w her are able to fill your mind when this starts to get you down
