Last night was so wild I honestly have to just write it down somewhere.

So I recently moved into a high rise apartment in DTLA and I wanted to celebrate by having a poker night with my boys. So yesterday a few of my friends (4) came over and everything was going good. One of my friends, lets just call him Brock had some shrooms and ate some and I thought nothing of it. A few hours go by and Brock starts subtly tripping, he's talking about why someone wont answer the phone and some other bull s***. He then starts just talking about life, but not really anything negative just goals and s***.

Anyways Brock goes onto the balcony with my other friend and me and my other friend stay inside. The friend I am with is the one who drove them all here and he's saying they are about to head out cause it was getting late and i was like fasho so he goes over to tell them and then Brock socks him in the chest hard as f*** and breaks his chain

My friend who gets socked surprisingly takes it well and just brushes it off, and just comes back inside and we continue to talk about how Brock is kinda tripping and we need to get him home. I look over and see a commotion on the balcony and see Brock jump off the balcony head first. LUCKILY my friend thats out there with catches him by the foot but Brock is now HANGING on the side of the building 21 floors up. No part of his body is still in my balcony. If my other friend lets go of his leg he is dead. So we run over and are trying to help him up. I have one leg my friend has another and the other friend his helping on the other leg. We are SCREAMING for help and pleading Brock to try and reach up his and so can pull his arm too cause he's to heavy with the force of gravity and him being dead weight. He is flailing, he wants to die. Luckily my neighbor wakes up and runs to my door and we let him in and with his help we are able to get him back on the balcony. At this point he's still tripping and continues to f***ing go crazy in my apartment and break s*** and fight with us.

Eventually the cops came because someone sent them a video saying we were trying to throw someone off the balcony. They had to strap him to the gurney and take him to the hospital because he was not cooperating.

And thats pretty much the end... i honestly just had to type it out because the moment has just been kinda just swirling in my head since...

important lesson to learn though:
if you’re up that high & someone’s not sober around you, do not let them onto the balcony

wow. happy you guys saved him. best thing you can do for him is try not to alienate him and make him feel like you guys don't want to be around him anymore. just check in on him. there was probably a lot going on in his head rn.

Yeah definitely, that's been top of my mind. We made sure not tell our group chat and he called me this morning when he finally came to just really sorry and I told him not worry about anything and that I'm just glad he's okay.

He said he's gunna come fix some of the s*** he broke when we go riding our motorcycles soon.

He's been one of my bestfriends since 6th grade, would never want him to be embarrassed by this

Genuinely the same exact thing happened to me a few years ago and it took a long time to process the situation. Thoughts with you OP! You and your friends are honest to god hero’s as f***ed up as the situation is!

Nah we all honestly really want to see it. I have no idea who took it, like if it was a neighbor or someone on the street.

Yeah definitely a lesson learned. It was kinda my worst fear when I moved into this place but I never thought it could actually happen.

He's taken shrooms before so I figured he could handle his s*** but now I know to never chance it. Probably won't even allow people to do psychadelics in my apartment ever again tbh .

You're a good friend, glad everything ended safely. Crazy to think if things were just a little bit different it could've ended very badly

you're a good friend. when things like this happens alot of times people will try to avoid talking about it all together but i think that isn't healthy for anyone. just continue doing what you're doing and he should open up

That's how I felt at first but like the situation was looking pretty bad for us. He was screaming inside of my apartment and was like uncontrollable and was like bleeding on the floor at one point because we had to tackle him to stop him from making a run for the balcony again.
