Mar 6, 2020kikoanyone know what to do.. she 22 and she had blood in her poop for 3 days striaght 3 weeks ago. everything was lookin good till today she got blood in her poop this morning, then 2 hours later she came home early form class cuz she got a headache. just tested her temp and its 100F.. now she sleeping but im worried :( what if she got cancer. she dont wanna go to er and has doctor appointment in a week.. what if its too late

go to er if it worsens and follow up with a GI specialist if you don’t need to see a PCP first. Try to get an ultrasound if possible

Go to an urgent care or the emergency room but i heard insurance wants you to start going to urgent care you might have to wait a bit theyll see you on the spot tho

She doesn’t need an ultrasound. If anything, a CT scan, but even that she likely won’t need

i have crohns and prob just an mri and/or a scope. blood and stool tests first tho, there's a few indicators that tell most of the story

Yeah there’s a good chance that this is just hemorrhoids, especially if her only symptom is blood in her stool.
I guess it depends where she goes, but most places I’ve seen will do a CT instead of an MRI. But it all depends on what her other signs/symptoms are if she actually needs further work up.
