Look all I’m saying is I was wildly easy to be influenced at 10-18.
People join gangs during that age group because they think it’s cool even though it’s not and they regret it when they’re older.

Why’s it so crazy that a 14 year old may see all the attention and stardom trans people get and they want to go from “just another boy/girl” to having everyone calling you stunning and brave.

the fact this piss poor ass advice has two upvotes

How is this piss poor advice lol. It’s pretty level headed and rational honestly.

Let them do what they want, an avoid decisions that they may not need to make yet.

    The kids only 14....

A child of that age doesn’t fully understand the implications or conditions of being trans. Sounds like the social media echo chambers and societal pressure were able to easily convince them

Yes all the societal pressure forcing kids to become one of the most ridiculed, targeted and murdered sexual minorities, that is something that totally exists.

most trans people live horrible s***ty lives in prison, on the streets, or trafficked into s***work. that is, if they come out, most just repress it and just live with horrible depression and anxiety their whole lives. the fact that you think its a "cool fad" says a lot about you.

  • Feb 15, 2020

please don't let this kid transition before 20 atleast.

our brains aren't fully developed before 25, so letting a kid that is still figuring himself out do that is super f***ed up and should be illegal.

Aight I’m out more power to OP his brother and all trans people across the world

    Salute

    Leaving this here though

In on-line forums, parents have reported that their children seemed to experience a sudden or rapid onset of gender dysphoria, appearing for the first time during puberty or even after its completion. Parents describe that the onset of gender dysphoria seemed to occur in the context of belonging to a peer group where one, multiple, or even all of the friends have become gender dysphoric and transgender-identified during the same timeframe. Parents also report that their children exhibited an increase in social media/internet use prior to disclosure of a transgender identity.

The most explosive of Littman’s findings may be that among the young people reported on—83% of whom were designated female at birth—more than one-third had friendship groups in which 50% or more of the youths began to identify as transgender in a similar time frame. This, she writes, was more than 70 times the expected prevalence of transgender identity in young adults, which she reports is 0.7%. Littman hypothesizes that “social contagion” may be a key driver of the purportedly rapid onset dysphoria.

No ones saying kids aren’t susceptible to peer pressure. But using this angle to invalidate real transness is ridiculous.

You just ignoring that OP said there’s been signs for years too?

its PISS poor advice dude. the minute she expressed an inkling of gender dysphoria her parents should’ve immediately took her to a surgeon to have her gentials mutilated and reformed and pumped testosterone into her veins

  • Feb 15, 2020

Would focus on getting your little sister some therapy or try and be a big bro to her and see what’s going on OP. So she can live a semblance of a normal teen life lol

you mean knowing actual trans people can cause you to question your gender?

damn bro, next youre gonna tell me that having platonic female friends might make you less of a misogynist
