most of my basic trousers are either uniqlo u or thrift so I would check out uniqlo for some basic black trousers. Margiela has these really nice flare runway trousers from fw18 that are great but theyre pretty pricey.

For denim if I want something basic I usually just get vintage levis 505,501s from ebay, thrift etc but I usually look around for "cooler" more unique looking stuff. I have some Hysteric Glamour Hagi Denim and Dior 06 crash denim that have really cool patch works and cuts. Currently looking for a reasonably priced pair of Undercover 02 Haze Jeans. So I would look around at brands you like and try to peep older stuff on grailed and see if something catches ur eye
