Depending on where you live, it could just be whatever’s in your pipes. Idk maybe your local plant operators are incompetent (doubt)

Getting a 5 step reverse osmosis (NEEDS to have remineralization) would be your best bet. That may not be feasible for most people because they’re not as easy to set up. If that’s the case, maybe check out a berkey filter. I’ve heard good things about them and they allegedly filter out everything. Not sure how true that is though
