Janet was mikes biggest influence after thriller.
A lot of Bad/Dangerous era was influenced by janet.
Mike even made a New Jack Swing album AFTER seeing the success of rhythm nation

Money is pure sample based from Norman Cook’s “Skip to my Loops” (1992) but definitely, HIStory was largely worked on with Janet’s team of Jimmy Jam and Lewis so it’s only natural I guess.

MJ started the 90s with dangerous so unfortunately not, Janet is still one of the goat’s though

What if I enjoy Velvet Rope over Dangerous :lurk:
Both are great albums but I think in retrospect Velvet Rope is considered better, they’re about the same singles-wise but overall it’s Janet tbh
