Obviously that’s what they all want 😂 If there was a star-making formula then every just-kissed-the-tip of stardom pop hopeful with a single hit would’ve been a persistent star. You can’t simply force it, it’s still a lottery but just with better odds.. how does it work FOR Drake or any of OVO to not have a label of stars .. streaming and touring year-round. OVO Sound isn't a major record label. It's an independent record label with distribution services from Santa Anna, which was a deal they agreed to months after Naomi Sharon signed to them.

Her brand of music doesn't even lend itself to the charts but if that ends up happening, it'll happen organically, not because she's signed to Drake's record label.

SZA is a decent example. She signed to TDE, an independent record label, in 2013 and didn't release her debut album until 4 years later, in 2017, which also happened to be her breakout year.

It's still left to see if Naomi will become a mainstream staple but like I said earlier, it that'll ever happen, it'll happen organically.
