King's Disease aka an immaculately produced album out now
thank Hit Boy for executive producing the sound of the album, Nas a goat but we know the overall good sound and cohesiveness of KD is because of Hit Boy's input.
I Am was the beginning of Nas bad ear for beats being exposed. I dont know what kinda sound he was going for with some of those songs. It was like an bad East Coast take on Makaveli type beats. And it continued with Nastradamus, QB's Finest, Bravehearts, etc. and has followed him even up until King's Disease.
But the production on I Am, not the leak, is what sent Nas career downward and left room for Jay-Z to assert himself as top rapper in New York.

That album was rushed together at the last second cuz it was one of the first major leaks ever & instead of dropping a classic for some reason they decided to put all the trash on it
