Drops arguably the greatest rap album of all time. Defeats the sophomore slump jinx but then fumbles a masterpiece double album at the mercy of one of first big leaks. Comes back with Stillmatic, Lost Tapes and God’s Son. Beefs with Jay-Z and most of New York along the way. Tries the double album thing again but it sort of backfires. Claims Hip Hop Is Dead. Drops his most socially conscious album and tries to name it N____r. Drops collaboration album with Damian Marley and it’s fire, def one of the best collaborative rap albums out there. Drops one of his best albums Life Is Good in 2012. Takes one of the longest hiatuses and doesn’t drop again until Nasir in 2018 giving us a mid batch of 7 songs recorded in the car on the way to the listening session by Nas because of Kanye. Completely redeems himself by recording 6 comeback albums with Kanye’s once protégé Hit-Boy in the span of 3 years. Is the run even over yet? I think Nas has more music coming

Sounds like a pretty consistent run to me.

Yeah you’re right it is crazy. And that’s without mentioning being part of the biggest hip hop supergroup The Firm produced by Dr Dre and being seen as a failure, and a dope compilation encompassing his hood with QBs Finest. He even costarred with Dmx in one of the most legendary hip hop movies Belly

Also Streets Disciple underrated, listening back I feel it deserved more appreciation. Lowkey he’s already setting the stage for Life Is Good with the grown topics on there the sequencing is amazingly thought out, both discs have clear themes

Streets Disciple is underrated I do believe this. Take away some of the few songs I don’t like (the more political songs at the beginning personally and some of the ones with meh beats like makings of a perfect b****) and it’s a strong album

Street's Disciple is honestly underhated compared to Nastradamus. Such a bloated album with very few highlights

Completely disagree. For me, it’s one of the most focused albums lyrically ever, with the themes flowing amazing from track to track. This level of writing and sequencing detail coupled with a lot of old school hip hop influence on the production with live instrumentation by a small group of producers, it just might be the most representative album of who Nas really is as an artist. I feel it’s similar to how I Am would’ve been envisioned in some ways in its ambition. I think its ambition is overlooked or maybe not understood.

There’s some missteps absolutely but it almost feels like the album Nas always wanted to make. He even has production credits on it
