Feel like a lot of people slept on this because it was a reggae collab. Damn shame too because this is a legitimately great album. Very solid project in Nas' discography and still holds up well.

    so many bangers

living in the shadow of your father, it is rare for an artist to do original material.

be could’ve easily just take the simple way. just doing marley covers

instead he chose the goat & they forced def jam’s hand to create this 😎

it is interesting to look at the producer credits dm produced 90 percent of it

in fact, 3 tracks are only with 1 co-producer- his brother stephen marley

i didn’t even know the credits until now think about how rare that is - for one person to just take the production duties on a major label.

you can count them on your hands in hip hop. you may get to only 7

    look at their feature list
    joss stone
    dennis brown
    junior reid
    k’ naan
    lil wayne

    very underrated project

I agree. Amazing project and a personal classic.

I'm still convinced that this inspired Hov to make "Bam" too.

Nas's only real misses are Nastradamus and Nasir.

When you factor in his whole body of work including Lost Tapes, his catalog is great.

    It is?

    Found it

Damian Marley isn’t titled on the album. It’s just under Nas.

    Smh, AM with the disrespect.
