OP left out Distant Relatives and y’all aren’t acknowledging that enough
Distant Relatives s***s on KD1 and KD2 lmao
“Nas picks bad beats” 🤓
He sure did a lot of times but he still made classics out of them which raises his bar even more
I love Nas but KD1 and KD2 are most definitely NOT classics
They’re potential classics, too early to be actual classics, but the quality is there and in the case of KD1 the impact as well

a good/great album ≠ a classic but if it‘s a personal classic for you then it‘s cool

I literally just explained… I’m aware they’re not actual classics because they’ve not been out long enough, but what I’m saying is they have the qualities to potentially be classics. KD 1 brought Nas back to the forefront and won a Grammy and KD2 improved further on the concept, but has literally been out 2 days so it’s impossible to know the impact, but the acclaim has been pretty universal
Idk to me Stillmatic is a 9.5/10+ album and I Am is at least an 8/10
I think you are very deep into the Nas stan spectrum brother, with all due respect
Which doesn’t invalidate your personal ranking, but I was trying to speak from a more neutral observer perspective. I don’t think Stillmatic is a 9.5 to a good bit of folks. I think IWW is that
Ive literally not heard a single album in OP
How can you be a hiphop fan and not at least of heard illmatic

I like interesting hip hop
Never understood the Nas only has one classic argument. He had duds like most artists but his discography is also better than moats.
His best selection hate is also exaggerated
