I think you’re right. My answer used to be Hov but Jay ain’t bringing it like Nas is today. Nas has been rapping for 4 decades and still got a fire under his ass.
Greatest of all time s***.
Hov and Nas 1a and 1b lol this has been an incredible run by Esco, surreal feeling from listening to Stillmatic when it first came out to KD3 20 years later
is the stretch of releases from KD-KD3 one of the greatest post-prime (just chronologically not meant as an insult) album runs by an older rapper ever? a stretch of releases like this 3 DECADES into his career is nuts
love both but... better than lupe for me
Just realised Nas has 10 albums that could at least be argued to be classic
Illmatic
It Was Written
Stillmatic
God’s Son
Lost Tapes
Life is Good
Kings Disease
Kings Disease 2
Magic
Kings Disease 3
Not saying all are, but… damn

Jay got too many blockbuster moments man. Him and Nas neck and neck tho

Yeah I never thought so but like you I think it’s aged like fine wine

I can say with confidence it’s the greatest post prime run ever
Id even go as far to say Nas is in his 2nd prime right now.
How come thread ain't sticky
@mods
This run feels like a real victory lap for sure. Its hard to find anything to really hate on with KD3 too, super solid album. To call this another prime for Nas is bold but wouldn't be an overstatement either.

Not really bold, give him his flowers, 4 excellent albums in a row

Yea,damn near 50 and still killing,he's in another prime. Nas's rapping style/ability gonna keep him in the game for awhile. Like Nas said,he's a ghetto reporter,he raps about what he knows/sees.
Thats a Hip Hop as it gets
Man I loved magic and this one is just as consistent, as a big Nas fan I’m so glad him and Hit came together because these are truly timeless projects they’ve given us
bro, this is really RAOTY
i'm not the biggest Nas fan, but there are NO skips on this s*** man
also, jay z could release something now too, right?
memes aside, i remember someone saying like Nas and Ye wasn't even on the same studio when he did the 7-track joint back in 2018, because that Nas is NOT the same Nas of the KD's run
anyway, amazing album!
Eminem is on KD2. That's enough of a reason to knock it down a few spots.
oddly enough that’s 1 of my fav recent eminem verses
MM&TBS was my RAOTY and nothing was topping it until this album.
Incredible rap album. Honestly might be Nas’s 4th best album after Illmatic, IWW & The Lost Tapes 1.
over stillmatic & life is good?
we gotta stop this hyperbole as hip hop fans

Em didn’t completely destroy the song but his verse wasn’t needed. I’m happy it happened organically but we would’ve been better off with a Hov, Ross or Scarface verse on a different song.

i think the song is amazing
i waited that long 4 a nas & em collab & it delivered, i jus don’t think u like em lol

I’m one of the biggest Em skeptics here and haven’t enjoyed a project since Relapse, so take my criticisms with a grain of salt.

i’m listening now & yeh u buggin my brudda lol
when he’s listing off the rappers names at the end of his verse
Magic
KD II
KD III
KD
Nah KD 2 has s***ty features and brunch on Sundays

Hearing KD3 having no features was the best news we’ve gotten in a long time and people still were complaining. The last thing we needed was a mid verse blemishing this greatness.

My thoughts exactly, pretty much my only issues with the first two were the features (with a couple of exceptions)
