Really good imo especially with little promo off a sequel album for a dude who has been in the rap game for 25+ years
Only 3 skips. YKTV, Brunch on Sundays EPMD
YKTV is fire lol. I love Nas’s verse on that s***

album is good. probably a little better than KD1.
still miss the days of Life is Good though
Did Hit boy go full curren$y purposely
Sounds like Nipsey almost more than Curren$y
Great verse, I'd listen to a solo album if he keeps rapping like this
Good s*** bro.
I think Nas setting up for a second prime. This album gonna get a lot of newer rap fans into Nas I think. It’s a really good entry point into his discography and isn’t as dense lyrically as Illmatic or IWW or something like that

It reminds me of the Killer Mike and El-P pairing
Nas basically reinvented himself successfully and entered a new fascinating chapter in his career.

This is a good a***ogy actually.
This got me thinking. Of the older rappers who found a new way to reinvent their sound, who did it the best?
RTJ, Nas and Hitboy, or Czarface?

They all did something right, but Nas/Hit Boy and RTJ are on another level than Czarface tbh
Crazy we were about to get DOOM and FlyLo

Yeah I agree but I think Czar got some really good s***. Their projects with DOOM are amazing.
Damn didn’t know about all of that. That would have been amazing. F***
this album still not doing anything for me but at least I don’t hate it anymore. my favourite track is prolly composure. always nice to see another “nas is” song here too
otherwise, it feels like a massive step down from the previous kings disease, especially in terms of writing

Wow, that's interesting because it's the total opposite for me. King's Disease 2 is a massive upgrade from King's Disease. Everything about it is just better than the first one. It's almost like KD1 was the appetizer, while KD2 was the full course meal.

I see so many people saying that and I wanna like this but when it has songs like the one with Eminem or a boogie or blxst and Charlie Wilson (both did well but nas was the weak link on those
), it makes me indifferent. if those songs weren’t on the album, I’d say it’s an aoty contender
No phony love my fav beat on here
Always loved simple ass sample chops like that. Those muffled and chopped r&b vocals and how they loop and chop
Can’t get enough of it

It's AOTY
It's AOTY
I disagree but to each their own
I’m glad everyone else seems to enjoy it

I honestly find it amazing and frustrating at the same time, how much ahead of literally all the other rappers Nas is.. in terms of pen, content, flow, delivery, how fly he is, how sincere he sounds.. just legendary. I've come to realize many times that I'll never find another rapper I like and enjoy this much. For better or worse
