Finishing all the cutscenes, voice acting, etc is not a short easy task lol my point was that all wraps up towards the last year of development, the majority of dev time that stuff doesn’t need to be completed. They create a patchwork where full levels are done but then you get to the cutscene and it’s just text explaining what will be there, or the characters moving without any animation done yet. They build a full game like that, then the cutscenes and VA are completed last. Often times the VA for a full build of the game will be like a stand-in voice actor because that part is done so late. Sometimes you have to come in years later for extra scenes too, even if you recorded VA or mocap early.

All I was saying til it’s truly done is fall 2027 . Not that they are going to be ps6 or 2028

My guess is they show it off sometime this year with a new trailer and release date of spring or summer 2027

Summer earliest yes but apparently they were working on a vertical
Slice or gameplay walkthrough and were stalled . Likely earliest we see it again is this summer if not then this fall . They are not in a rush to force it out and be embarrassed

Every year will have one game that can kind of rival the big ones for a bit . Also different fanbases and gameplay . It was never going to come this fall even if gta kept its summer release date

I think Mario will be the big rival for gta6, my best guess

Fable will be the dark horse since we have no idea how that’ll come out honestly

Rockstar is not naughty dog and capping cutscene is different from gameplay

He basically said it's not impossible mocap is one of the last things they're working on. He didn't say anywhere that necessarily applies to this game or it's out in a few months

If you look at the post he responded too I never said “ this means it’s not content complete or won’t be playable internally “ I specifically say it’s not coming this year . Thats it . Again I say it in plain English no edits .

In my post I entirely agree with all of what maxing is saying in the original reply . There was no reason to reply to me “ well actually some games do mocap 4 months before they release “ no s*** some do but this is not that situation . Some games can do it if they are smaller scale , marketing and gameplay have been shown

No gameplay has been shown so what maxxing was saying wasn’t at all relevant to what I was saying

I literally did a mocap test for the MK DLC. That was used in game months later

GTA VI wasn’t going to get delayed . Things changed as I clearly hinted at even back then about a debate of launching without online . You think it got delayed because the game story , content or bug ridden ? That’s not why at all. They are taking time to make improvements but could they have launched original date without online ? Yes

I said the game definitely dropping in 2026, you said put money on that. You eventually put up a 6 month mute bet that it wouldn't get delayed. You even clarified that you meant on any platform, but nothing was said about online. If you knew that online could potentially lead to a delay at the time why not say something like "I mean single player only, not necessarily online"

Not sure why that would even be in question for Rockstar. Based on how much money V Online made them, they'd know to drop VI Online soon after the single player so they could make as much as possible

I said it comes down to if they want to release online at launch . Saying if they want to release online at launch that’s what I was iffy about . I made the bet either way but I clearly stated that was a deciding factor
