What we know:

Some sort of multiplayer type game that has its own story with naughty dog AAA quality put into it that takes place in TLOU universe. Was originally going to be the last of us 2's multiplayer mode, but they removed it from the game, built upon it, and made it its own thing with a much much wider scope.

Also to note, this is one of two new projects naughty dog is working on. There is this game, and their new IP which is currently in pre production.

Obligitory post to say Factions in the original last of us was an amazing multiplayer mode.

A multiplayer game with the mechanics and animations and quality of TLOU2 sounds f***ing amazing and i cant wait for them to show this off

It’d be so f***ing dope if you can form your own little squads and make bases for you to horde supplies and defend it from others.

Throw some survival elements in there (having to eat and drink, hence scavenging supplies, later needing to defend them from being stolen by others) and keep it as this organic, persistent thing and you got something.

I assume it’s gonna be something like that since it seems to take place in an open world map.

Will probably be the greatest multiplayer game of the generation

game better be as gory as TLOU2. Wanna blow peoples legs off

I mainly bought TLOU2 cuz I thought they were gonna add multiplayer to it smfh. Now I gotta spend another $60-$70 for the actual multiplayer s*** better be good

To show concept art and say “ more news next year “ while doing a remake of a 10 year old game with no multiplayer for full price is bonkers

Artists work was completely done on factions. Factions is in the hands of their dedicated multiplayer team.

Their new IP is in pre production so they had an entire team of people just sitting on their ass, so they gave them this to do.

Plus the remake wasn’t even naughty dog’s idea, it was a support studio who was supposed to remake uncharted 1, decided it was too much work, so they decided to remake TLOU. Then Sony realized the support studio sucked and asked naughty dog if they could take over.

Now work on the remake is done, this team can work on the new IP once it’s done in pre production

Naughty dog is Sony’s biggest first party and has I believe 3 teams.

Better not have cross play with pc heathens
