well if u want it less sticky then washing it multiple times should definitely help, go until the water runoff into the sink is clear

after the initial cooking time u could try putting a towel over the pot and then putting the lid on (make sure the towel isnt near any hot surface by folding it up), then letting it rest for a few minutes with the heat off, this will help prevent the rice from getting soggy and clumping up
