Young Thug & Future have shown a lot more range than YB ever has stop playing
yea what the hell is this dude saying
never got why ppl think its anti black for niggas to want new sounds from rappers lmao
Never realized this was even a thing
That inherently sounds racist. It's like people saying ''Chief Keef shouldn't be making that mainstream white people music! He should stick to rapping about killing opps in Chiraq!!!!''
yea what the hell is this dude saying
Idk but he's wrong
Just because Future & Young Thug might have made a lot of the samey repetitive songs doesn't mean they haven't shown their range before, a lotttttt more than YB

with sound? not really. 808s s*** pretty much can be reduced to the same thing most of the time. There's not really that much variety in their sound. It isn't really a problem because their artistry is great so they try different things in terms of songmaking, but the same can be said about YB.

Tyler had the right idea getting him on that 90s rnb sample

Look at Young Thug mixtape era, then compare it to let's say BTG & Jeffery
There's no denying that's more range than anything YB has done until this point

Not really.

I mean sure but lyrics>sound to me
YoungBoy singing album would be great all the people ITT saying "Tyler had the right idea" don't realize NBA had that idea way back himself
I understand the sentiment, but if he did expand his sound, he’d lose the level of raw intimacy he has with his diehard listeners. The homogeneity of his particular sound (on top of the sound itself) lends to his unique and poignant blend of lyrics/voice/subject matter standing out and on its own so the listener can focus on his content - the priority of his music
He already expanded his sound by using his vocals more than he used to. His music will grow with him he’s only 21. But asking him to hop on some off the wall production just for the sake of it is stupid
So are you guys done saying it’s racist to say this?
Because he just needs new production and he’ll grow crazy
this is a really strange projection you doing here

No, there was a thread 10-15 pages long about this haha.
I agree, his music is formulaic, although he does have some songs like Toxic Punk And the Dirty Diana remix that has him out of his element, Most of music just blends in.
bruh that lil southern accent lowkey annoying
he makes the same music like same cadence and flow its the same its crazy
