It’s still wild how YB is mad successful without radio play and being industry friendly. Imagine if he had industry support fr. He could be Drake level fr.

YB got hella grown black men as fans as well lol his popularity goes beyond the youth.

  • Reminder that labels have to actually certify the music. Alotta artists are eligible for higher certifications, their labels just haven't done the paperwork yet.

Also YB's commercial output is significantly higher than J Cole's

I feel like to get to that upper echelon of commercial success (Kanye, Drake, Wayne, 50, Eminem in their primes) you got to cross over and make pop friendly hits as well as the rap ones.

Do you think YB could do that?

NBA is nowhere near a rookie at this point niggas started f***ing with him in 2016

The point being made is that Cole & Future probably have more certifications they just haven’t updated their s*** in a while.

Mans really signed a 10 album deal for $1 million he was like 17 at the time but still

grodt was a moment in hip hop. People weren't on 50s nuts because of what he sold, he sold what he sold because everyone was bumpin that s***. No stream farms or 18 year old with hella time to boost numbers

Not fully pop like Drake but I feel like he could tap into that 21 questions tier bag as far as pop goes. That’s if you consider that pop tho I guess cause lines do get blurred.
