This thing needs a format overhaul BADLY before this time next year
There are more advantages to not competing in your conference championship than competing in it and losing if you're a non-SEC/B10 team, but there are also more advantages to losing your conference championship game than winning it if you're in the SEC/B10?
The 5 seed has the best draw in the bracket and the 1 seed has the worst.
The 4 best teams are not getting byes.
It's just so convoluted. Oregon has absolutely no incentive to win their conference championship game. As of right now they're slated to play the winner of Tennessee @ Ohio State in the second round. If they lose to Penn State and drop to the 5 seed, they'd host Iowa State/Arizona State in Eugene and then play Boise State on a neutral field to make the final 4. Why wouldn't they just throw the game? More importantly, why does this system exist where that would even be a legitimate strategy?
I had issues with it once they announced it. I knew it would be worse before it got better.
I didnt know he was even back coaching.
Was only at NM for a year.
Wow. Bronco back in Utah. Dude is securing pensions.
Good, Mike f***s around every year flirting with other jobs all the time.
OSU would be stupid for firing him though. This is probably their worst year in a long time, but it was during a year in an extremely watered down Big 12.
Edit: oh wait did they actually for real fire him?
PLEASE GOD PLEASE
