You play the games to tell you who the best teams are. The response of “ then why play the games” propagates an idea that each team plays an equal or very close to equal schedule. That’s the way the nfl is. It’s also why record fuels playoffs in the nfl.

In college (I don’t mean to try to patronize you if this comes off this way), you have an understanding of which conferences are better. It’s why the pac was discredited for so long, but this season we came into understanding that the quality was higher thus enhancing Washington’s 13-0 record. B10 is a league of three teams, Michigan getting through PSU and OSU confirms our understanding that they are one of the four best. FSU playing and beating LSU soundly is a good. Borderline great win but that’s really it on their schedule. Clemson is a good win, but that’s not the same as the other conferences. That’s just on resume. Watching the games should honestly tell you more about the teams. How do they look when under game pressure to win, how do they beat bad teams, how do “feel”. You can say it’s subjective, but we are football fans and know when a team is good or elite. I’m saying with fsu’s resume it doesn’t compare to bama if it came to it and the fact that Travis is out solidifies it.
