Im a real estate agent currently working at a grocery store to get some consistent income while I am not making any deals for now. I am a part timer getting full time hours. Right now, I feel like I am wasting my time at this grocery job when I know i should be putting more hours and energy in my real estate career. I still wanna make money right now so I can pay off some debt and put money in investments. It's hard starting off as a brand new real estate when you dont have any connections and s*** but I'm trying to make my dream happen. What should I do? Damn

Nice! I finished it like a week ago. I’m not in real estate but I want to get into it when the pandemic is over.

Do you work for a real estate company?

Yes, I work for Coldwell Banker. We’re the top producing brokerage in our region. I’m just trying to get a piece of the pie as well, ya feel me.

I’m guessing you have a real estate license?

Do you have to get your own deals or does the company gives them to you?

Read and follow Ryan Serhant for one course or two. It follows basically what my company is looking at for reference building its own course.

My boss also took business classes from goldman sachs as well. Start by learning and then putting in the work

The company does have software and applications to generate leads for you but it can be hit or miss because most of the time it’s people looking to rent not buy or sell.

And yes I do have my real estate license!

I’m located in Texas. The real estate market is booming over here too from what I hear and see. Buyers market for sure.

Been watching Ryan for a good minute. I like the way he carries himself and the way he does business. Really how I’m trying to be, tbh. Any good courses you recommend?

Like just anyone? I don’t wanna be calling the wrong people and s***. It’ll just be like if I’m throwing darts in the dark. I just need a little guidance on how to generate real leads.

It's a numbers game in the beginning. You literally have to spend two hours a day cold calling or following up leads. And get comfy with the top producers at your firm

S***, I was actually thinking of that. But they monitor the cameras, lmao. I work in this boujee ass grocery store. Lot of rich people that go there. I don’t want that to be the reason that they fire just for giving our business cards.
