Long story short: nursing school isn't going as well as planned. I'm a full time student + full time employee. I got 3 classes. 1 A and 2 C's. I gotta keep a B average to stay in the program. Soooo I'm finna get kicked out. Sucks because I feel like it was my ADHD that was holding me back. Finally got some meds and now I'm finally able to focus long enough to read a book but it looks like it's too late. They said I can't even reapply back into the program because 2 C's is equivalent to 2 F's in nursing.
I still would like to be successful. I don't want to keep making $12.58/hr for the rest of my life.
Any advice?
Have you thought about picking a trade?
I wanted to be a nurse. Now idk what I want to do. Any ideas? I'm more than willing to go back to school

Do you have anything in mind? Also can you try to get your Associates in nursing from a CC?

I could but I want to hear if y'all have some other options in mind. The thing about nursing school is that it's hard to get any work done since im a full time employee and the teachers have zero sympathy.
I was legit like the only student who worked. Everyone else lived with their parents/had a spouse working, bank loans, etc.
I can't do that. Like they really expect me not to work for THREE years and only do school.
I got bills My mom is retired and I got a dog to feed.
I figured I could make it work if I could at least become an LPN. But now it's looking like that dream is about to be over since they're gonna completely kick me out the program with no chance of returning.

Tbh man I feel like you’d be better off asking this question on Reddit than on here
Are you doing nursing school at a uni?
You can switch to social work since it’s a lot of the same pre reqs.
I switched from nursing to social work, it was before I applied for nursing school tho.
A downside to social work is that you top out at about 80,000 dollars a year (if you pick a good career) while in nursing you can get into the 6 figure and above range.
But they are feening for black males in this field op (if you are one) one of the few careers where Hr deps will actively search for black men because there are so few of us getting into it and we can move up EASILY. My aunt is a nurse at a hospital (she likes writes rules for nurses to follow and they work closely with social workers) and the dude who is running the whole social work department is a black man Also imagine the satisfaction in making a difference in peoples lives
Especially young black youths
