inga ibsdotter lilleaas does godly stuff in this just with her eyes and reactions without words. you can see decades of family dynamics just in the way she will look at someone or internally react to something

bro this post is so real she is so incredible literally every single scene she was in is permanently etched into my brain, incredible eye acting

its not it is nice tho

  • Never seen something quite like this. The relationships were so real and nuanced, there felt like there was not much happening for a while but the characters kept me in. I thought the way everything was portrayed was so honest , handled by someone else I think I could of hated the dad but they really put in the work here
    Great movie overall

  • loved this

there was something ever so slightly Lynchian about the film-within-a-film scenes

Man, this really moved me. Grew up with various not too dissimilar dynamics, and certainly become more aware of their lasting effects as I've aged. Don't know if I've had a film experience feel like I was peering into a mirror of that quite so closely as this one did.

Hope it wins plenty of awards.

Felt this with Olso, Worst Person, and this. It's insane how good of a writer he is

This is my film of the year. I love OBAA and Train Dreams and Marty, but this one just gets life. Heavily f*** with No Other Choice and Sirāt, too.
