Wasn't expecting this tense of a story at all nor them having a solid range of locations since it was filmed secretly

do you mean like from being in Tehran to on the run in the desert? I thought it was a bit extra but idk I didn’t mind it
I do think within this there could be a better way to show the fathers transition from a regular human/father to this symbol of the Iranian State persecuting his own family but I didn’t hate the switch. Maybe I’m giving them some grace since they were constrained in filming this too
