talks about the undertone in episode 3
literally what we all were saying tbh
he seems to be extremely tempered in his perspective
To me it’s pretty funny Coodie thinks kanye started to change once he didn’t need him to film he anymore
when ye mentioned to coodie that he wanted hype williams to direct the jesus walks video, coodie seemed to take that harder than he should have. who knows if they had a falling out. but i do think that from ye's original circle. coodie was always the odd man out.
you can bring your boys with you when you get put on but there's a limit to that. it's one thing to hire ur barber to follow u around or your boys who helps you think of lyrics. but a professional videographer/director/whatever requires someone with experience and education. eventually ye was gonna get to the point where he'd want a professional to shoot his videos and behind the scenes footage.
coodie's og jesus walks video looked like it was made by someone applying to film school

Exactly
Like it’s painfully obvious that Coodie is virtue signaling when he shows Ye having a breakdown and then tells us that he’s turning the camera off, if the situation wasn’t appropriate to record why did you put it in the doc
Oh look what I’ve been saying from beginning
Big facts

Real one
LMFAOOOOOOO cause so many were like “ I’m glad coodie turned off the camera “ “ I’m glad coodie ended showing ye agreeing with tucker Carlson “
He ended it like “ look he lost his soul and his mind “
S*** was foul
Like was he drunk calling him the wrong name ? Yes but at some point you felt it go from documentary to partial hit piece

Kanye doesn't understand that the undertone he is sensing in the documentary is present in how many former fans/people/fans see him

Sounds pretty biased if he didn’t check any projects post mbdtf and didn’t even want to watch it

YES. I was arguing with people about this in this site and I couldn’t believe people were actively defending it. The drunk part I understood and felt okay but everything afterwards was absolutely ridiculous.

Stopped reading after the Drink Champs bit. Sort of garbage

I watch too many documentaries to allow that . When ye said he wanted final cut AND MIKE DEAN BACKED HIM. I knew something was up
the undertone of ep 3 was horrible. but it was a great insight to ye. lets not act like it wasn't ye in the video... he did all that s*** himself.
I personally think Coodie did him WRONG in episode 3. but at the end of the day, no human is perfect Ye is great because he has real world problems like the rest of us. not because he's a figure who's picture perfect like Drake. No shade.
part three certainly has hit piece vibes to it. from a documentary standpoint, you gotta just give us the facts of sorts, and not introduce this sort of negative emotion toward who he is now. but this is a doc from Coodie's perspective so, he had the right to add that sentiment that this "Yeezy" is a different person
I dont know how I feel about the whole pray for ye angle this episode not that I disagree with the sentiment but more so cause you didn't really see anyone challenge him on stuff like coodie response to ye saying he's running for president. But I guess everyone was scared
man this. does NO ONE challenge him. the few times coodie seemingly did, like forcing him to allow him to say hi to his dad, ye backs down and let him. but yes, always been my biggest question, does NO ONE have high level argument and debate with ye other than his wife?
Sounds pretty biased if he didn’t check any projects post mbdtf and didn’t even want to watch it
Definitely, that's an old friend from around the way - he's probably hella biased but I still thought it was worth a share.

Which I agree with, due to editing and word choice it came off as disingenuous.
I feel like the film was sold as a comprehensive, detailed insider look on all twenty years of ye's career - when in reality only act i lives up to that promise - and understandably so. act 2 and 3 kinda felt like a documentary on ye career that could've been produced by anyone, prolly cause coodie and ye really just ended up getting more alienated. overall it's a pretty good doc, act i is really magic but the other 2 acts are kinda average to me

i said the exact same s***
