well the thing is they didn't cut it....they just weren't there since the relationship had simmered with time. If they making a doc from their perspective and friendship with footage they personally filmed they can't make those years up since they had the exact same view we did.

Said in the other thread but this is basically like the sports documentary Hoop Dreams with the addition that it picks back up later in life to see how far the person actually went after the cameras turned off initially

i think the main issue is that the original press release oversold the description about it covering 21 years or whatever when this is pretty much a very unique origin tale with additions

the fact they stopped getting footage after his mom died means thats gonna be an emotional ass bit in the doc. And I find it hard to believe after something like that happens they're going to entirely ignore the chain of events that followed

But who knows. But I'm just hype to see unsigned Kanye, behind the scenes stuff with him and Donda, idk how everyone isn't

We come back to 2016 he is v popular again (for fashion and music), has a huge public meltdown on stage gets hospitalised, comes back year later supporting Trump and TMZ rant that makes headlines around the world. Then becomes born again Christian and runs for president

In terms of music maybe the most interesting era is that in between . But in terms of pure drama idk man. That's not to downplay the drama of those missing years tho. His whole career some dramatic cinematic s*** and any new content imo has potential to be crazy and interesting asf

Yes, you have to start somewhere. Do people not understand someone else will cover the remaining years in another documentary? Hold ya horses, ktt2. To tell the story you can’t just flip the pages to where you want to start. 😳
