Kanyes face when scarface dropped the "it dont matter" after he asked him which one he wanted the CD of to drop a verse on...
Ngl the guy who helped teach Kanye beats along with No ID kinda got a point because I already forgot his name and if I'd heard about him before I forgot it then too
Fr 😭
that stevie wonder impression was disrespectful
the jay impression he did to Donda was hilarious though
it’s crazy how people went from calling him an “abuser” to saying how inspirational is documentary is in one night changed his own narrative over night a reverse R Kelly
gonna be hard to hate this guy for anyone who watches this documentary
I took a whole class on creative nonfiction writing from an author who has his own wiki page. He told me once that any good nonfiction piece that isn’t just a dry report/news/essay/etc needs to be about the author to an extent, at least through their relationship to the subject they’re writing about. It’s what gives it perspective and meaning as opposed to being something with no soul. This doc seems to be following the same principle
Especially in this case where he's not just any doc maker, he's literally there in all the footage. He does a good job of trying to connect Ye's story to something bigger than just him. Which is important even for a personality as big as Ye's lol
Loved the Channel Zero segments
Would love a documentary about that s***
Seems cool as hell
those Channel Zero bits set the mood for that era so well
lmao “politically incorrect” but it’s been trending on twitter all day. dude, get a grip: nobody is canceling the billionaire recording artist that has music across all major streaming platforms (of which is about to provide an entirely new album of his soon) and now a documentary about his entire career on what is probably the largest video streaming service in the country. just enjoy the documentary and keep it moving, My dude. Take that discourse elsewhere
When people actually get cancelled it's for way more than what Ye does. Cancel culture is barely a real thing
It's mostly just a media circus. A lot of the time people get more famous after getting "cancelled" from all the attention. No wonder they wanna perpetuate it
No one is cancelling people like Chappelle/Rogan/Ye. Have no idea why people go on and on about it
Scarface part is confusing. Not sure if he really liked what he heard or not lol
I got the vibes he wasn't f***ing wit it at all
Wonder how they are gonna cover 10 albums releasing in the next 2 episodes + so much more... but holy s*** that first epi was great
bro there is nothing from 808's to TLOP era in this doc
Kanye has a sizable cult following it's going to trend regardless. What dude means is people on Kanye's level of celebrity not talking about it, it's not a good look in Hollywood or in the music industry right now.
I guess but there's plenty of things all the hollywood/music A-list cosign that no one cares about and flop. Ye also seems to push some of them away too though lol. (Like Cudi this week).
Weren't Rihanna and Rocky at the premiere though? Doesn't get much more A-list than that right now. Drake liked the post about how he should have done the narration
Also by this point Netflix is one of Hollywood's main players, and they've got Ye on their homepage. That's one of the biggest platforms in film/TV. Ye still (rightly) gets given a platform way beyond his cult following
the jay impression he did to Donda was hilarious though
Bruh his hov impression was spot on!!
I was cracking up lmao
it’s crazy how people went from calling him an “abuser” to saying how inspirational is documentary is in one night changed his own narrative over night a reverse R Kelly
i mean, anybody that knows anything about the guy knows he isn't an abuser at all- and its disgusting to even joke about that
but people like attention so say that kinda foul s*** for clicks
it’s crazy how people went from calling him an “abuser” to saying how inspirational is documentary is in one night changed his own narrative over night a reverse R Kelly
Lol I don't think it's the same people lol. The ones who called him an abuser are mad about Netflix making a doc about him.
It stops before 808s and comes back to the Wyoming era because that's when Coodie and Ye reconnected
They need to add this documentary in to fill the gap complex.com/music/2018/04/kanye-west-unreleased-glow-in-the-dark-tour-documentary-trailer
hard
As amazing as part 1 was, considering college dropout hasn't even dropped yet, part 2 is going to be f***ing insane
I got the vibes he wasn't f***ing wit it at all
How is everyone misinterpreting this scene
