Damn eventually all these streaming services will have ads (unless you pay more)

I’m sure HBO Max & Disney+ will follow

100% they will once they get comfortable

well yeah but it’s much more convenient to just open an app and press play and not have to worry about shady sites

HBO Max and Apple TV are looking like the ones for original content / pre-existing library

Netflix hasn’t been good in years

  • Apr 20, 2022

does movies and shows on hbo max goes like on netflix - after some time?

  • Apr 20, 2022

Some of their OC ain’t bad like I enjoy The Crown and the Unsolved Mysteries reboot but when you get rid of ALL your third party content you lose a lot of that “throwing it on in the background” crowd. Twin Peaks, The Office, Mad Men, Forensic Files, they literally took the axe to all my staples, why stay??

  • Apr 20, 2022

Only thing keeping them alive is investing in movies they know are gonna be hot during award season. Roma and The Power of the Dog are two great examples of that. But I’m not watching those movies every day and HBO even does it better with the Warner releases

HBO Max is so far ahead of these other services that I don't know why it's a debate

Movie catalogue is consistently top tier and obviously it has HBO programming what more could you ask for

Compare Netflix Originals to the quality we get from like Disney+ and Hulu originals and the difference is obvious. Netflix is pooping out s*** content and expecting to keep subscribers.

And the other shows they offer up aren’t even that good anymore compared to the series they used to have.

Also, Disney is cooperating with a lot of other services. I get the Disney Plus bundle for free with Amex, I could also get it for free with my Verizon Plan.

i haven't used netflix in YEARS

but when I did have it i would spend time finding movies rather than watching something that entices me

    who else agrees?

  • Apr 29, 2022

netflix doesn’t make movies they make long videos. if you call your s*** “content” you put yourself in the same lane as youtube not HBO

I feel you but Netflix is more than a decade old. When they started they had good content and those brand deals. They still do with certain companies now

They don't realise that trying to crack down password sharing will kill alot of their subscribers lmao people justified paying for the high tiers because they can split it

    Hope they get nuked
