Quibi was the first to die.
Really was a flash in the pan tho there were some things advertised to me that I thought would be cool but then it was gone. Kinda meta since most of what I saw seemed to incorporate the use of phone video into the story telling.
it's funny.. even my dad be knowing netflix stuff is trash. I was playing that new jamie foxx movie with the vamps and he walked in midway through and watched to the end and was like..
"that was a netflix movie huh?"
ya Dad, yes it was

Netflix issue is that everyone associates everything on it with Netflix and not subsidiary brands like other things.
No one really ever sees the numerous stations that are owned by the big companies as apart of those companies so when Lifetime puts out less then quality stuff no one says "that was a Disney product" it's a lifetime one.
People see Netflix make something for a different audience and get angry they didn't make something for them. It's why monopolies work best for audiences brains one faceless Corp that secretly owns everything is a safer bet business wise cause people start to get weird when they associate a business business one type of thing.
Netflix is tryna compete with everyone by doing a mix of different things for different audiences but audiences are to brand trained and people don't see what they like they only see what they hate.
Netflix content is literally made using data points to appeal to ever changing trends. Every single movie or show lacks depth, revisits cheap tropes and looks the same. When they lost their licenses I knew it was gonna be their downfall.

This is 100% happening
I feel like people root on Netflix to go down like the only other options aren't HBOmax which is all over the place, Disney+ bullshit, and the literal 2-3 shows people watch on Amazon prime.
netflix is super hit or miss but when they hit, they're the only streaming service that has potential to make global phenomenons like Squid Game or Stranger Things.
A show like Squiddy wouldn't survive on any other service or only have a fraction of the reach.

CGI boutta look like it's from 2009
Netflix got all the heavy hitters they too big to fail
Ppl hate walmart but still end up shopping there cuz they re everywhere and everything's cheaper than the competitors, same applies to netflix
Netflix was the highest up with barely any great competition for such a long time it was destined to be a bad falloff once they did get competition
Netflix will be fine. They just need to cut back on the ambition. The streaming industry is too fragmented now that other services are in the game. Just stop trying to be the dominant service, and be a solid player in the game so they can keep making money. They would have to make some colossally stupid decisions to legitimately crash and burn.

Just stop spending 150 plus mill on movies with rushed first draft scripts that got thrown together in a week lol
If they actually have some quality control for their movies they ll be fine, they got all the big time shows like squid games, cobra Kai and stranger things

Not "every single", they've still got some bangers. But I feel your point

But they knew it was coming. They spend billions a year producing original content.
Unfortunately the competition came faster then they could expand their catalog

He got a point. A really good point. If Disney buys some service like Paramount or something...that would be a huge step over Netflix.
