GLOW, Netflix’s female wrestling dramedy is returning to the ring for a fourth and final season.
The series, which stars Alison Brie, Betty Gilpin and Marc Maron, is set to end after the next season. This is in line with a number of Netflix originals that end after three or four seasons.
Creators Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch will return as showrunners and writers and will executive produce alongside Jenji Kohan, Tara Herrmann and Mark Burley.
GLOW, which has earned 15 Emmy nominations and three wins during its run, was inspired by the short-lived but beloved 1980s show. It tells the fictional story of Ruth Wilder (Brie), an out-of-work, struggling actress in 1980s Los Angeles who finds one last chance for stardom when she’s thrust into the glitter and spandex world of women’s pro wrestling.

About to finish season 2, heavily overlooked and super enjoyable in a so-bad-it’s-funny-but-it’s-actually-good way
charming cast and great production

cant shoot because of covid > cant be released in a reasonable timeframe > can't be used draw in new customers > gets the axe
netflix is ruthless
I don’t watch this show but why cancel instead of wait? Is it not very popular?

More important for Netflix to make a fourth season of Thrasher Things
They are stupid for canceling this. My god do I hate Netflix.
