There’s now an intriguing update on “Three Guns at Dawn”. Fuqua, who is also the producer, sold the script to Netflix, and seems to think Schrader should direct. The problem is that Schrader fears he’s going to get accused of “cultural appropriation” if he directs a film concerning three African-American brothers in an all-black neighbourhood.

Concept is interesting. Fuqua is a hack imo so I’d rather Schrader just do it

The plot sounds like the film "dragged across concrete" to me a little bit, or seems as if it might be similar due to Paul's worry of "appropriation if he directs it".

Dragged across concrete is a crime noir epic by the dude who did bone tomahawk and brawl in cell block 99, has Vince Vaughn, mel Gibson, Michael Jai white, etc. true classic, highly recommend it
