I see so many people complain about it with TikTok dances and rap songs.
"The James" is pretty much what you would see in a TikTok dance.
I can understand if you think the songs themselves are bad and that's where you're coming from about it. But I'd have to ask what do you think a rap song about a dance or dancing is supposed to sound like?
Don't understand why y'all so enthusiastic about removing a tradition to hip-hop.
I'm kinda confused by your question. Are you talking about people getting mad about demonstrating real dance skills and choreography in original music videos, or TikTokers with no passion for the genre using the same five shoulder pumps and hand motions to every trendy rap song every week for likes?

Talking about people mad about TikTokers dancing to rap songs or rappers making TikTok dance songs. Regardless of it being just a TikTok dance, or a fully choregraphed dance production that goes along with a rapper's song for a music video, it's still all dancing. It's a core of hip-hop.

Its all dancing but its not done with the same passion and respect for the art (art in this sense being the music and dance). A rapper, artist, or other hip-hop enthusiast dancing to the energy and vibe of the music is different from soulless leeches looking for any excuse to flash their body. Its very... distasteful and self serving.
I would respect it more if they were more versatile in their selection of music and dance moves, but its usually whatever rap song is hot that week.

Most of these tiktokers cant dance for s***
Remove this cayenne seasoned pedophile and c***from this thread.
Simply put
White tastemakerss in the late 80s and early 90s became more fixated with wordsmiths and bland production that helped wordsmiths standout
Then the other elements of hip hop
The majority of white folks have no rhythm.. can’t dance...
Without the excessive white gatekeepers from the old industry you’ve seen make melodic.. dance heavy music break into the mainstream and dominate pop culture.
i mean Tik Tok is way more attention whoring
people who make legit choreography vids or dance vids are putting real effort and passion into what they're doing
Tik Tokers just want attention and clout

if they aren't doing anything bad to get attention I don't see the problem
like if people want to entertain people and get attention with their dancing videos that's pretty cool I think
