I feel like she and her team had to fight for that proper artist credit for the I Love It hit with Icona Pop, rather than just letting it fly. As they should, she totally made that song what it was. But I can't just see them letting her go uncredited like you say.

She's written on some other great hits tho, like Same Old Love by Selena.

Charli still has some songs that connect in the UK that are hers. Like 1999, Boys and weirdly After the Afterparty. Gone did ok. Idk about the US tho. I don't think she wrote on Boys, pretty sure it was Warren, Lauv and a bunch of others.

yeah I can’t remember the interview but she said boys was written by someone else and there’s a version with stripped down production and emily warren singing the song out there, the quality is terrible cause it was leaked over a discord being recorded from someone’s phone lol

and yeah she’s always gotten credit and i’ve never heard of her ghost writing

and none of those songs really got air play here in the us as far as i know

i think boys got gold or more in the US but she said something about how that song didn't connect instantly on radio so her label stopped plugging it pretty quickly

shame as that song getting certified off that viral video alone and the strength of the song showed it had some potential

yeah it’s a shame, songs like Boys I feel could do better but I also think she isn’t trying to get. a ton of airplay anymore on her solo stuff
