whothehellknowsI feel this was a extension of the Testing sound that we've heard from Rocky up to this point imo. I'd argue though that this is one of the better tracks in this style; the effects and vocals are a bit too muddy but I actually liked how soft it was and the overall message of the song.
It's not the best first single. I'm liking how much influence Rocky seems to be taking from people like Dean Blunt and Frank Ocean in terms of the kind of avant-garde s*** he makes now and this is a nice step in the right direction.
What is Dean Blunt like? If he’s anything like Frank and this new Rocky song, I wanna check him out.

The soft and quiet vocals with the wobbly auto tune and lack of vocal polish really make it feel like it’s just him having a moment late at night all alone, singing to himself.

totally different songs. sun dress is upbeat, bright and includes a balance of singing and rapping.

Rocky still thinks he is in the league of artists like Kanye, Kendrick, Frank etc... until he can't accept the fact that he is NOT the music won't gonna bang. Don't misunderstand me, i really like his older s***, but he is getting ridiculous with these artsy slow songs and trash rollouts. Feels like he is trying to be somebody he is not but that's just my opinion.
