I can’t believe people still force themselves to like that album to this day. Give it up. It’s never gonna be a thing.

It’s not one of those albums that will get better with age (I listen to it every year to test this theory) it’s just bad

That album is at the very least not one that’s so overwhelmingly creative that you should think people just aren’t ready to comprehend it yet

I think it’s a pretty simple and straightforward project

It has a small handful of decent songs

I think the smart long term play would’ve been just to make this album another one of his “cool” projects just to get the masses back in, and spend his time after trying to find a balance between that Rocky that people love and the far left of center Rocky he clearly would like to be musically

Based on Sandman and some of the verses we’ve gotten over the last few years, he can still make wavy sounding s*** in his sleep

People point to Frank but it’s turning into a dean stan that ruined his greatest strength (flow/delivery)

I don’t think much of that album also don’t think it’s irredeemable but you will probably never see a mainstream artist give Dean that much props again for that alone I respect it

Well on the CDQ I can definitely hear Thundercat and Miguel's contributions much more clearly and they are very welcome features.

It’s simple really. There are no great songs on there. There’s some decent songs tho

Rocky literally owes his entire career to Yams

He's basically lost in the sauce without his direction

Testing is his 2nd best project (behind his first mixtape)

Maybe it’s not a “cohesive” #album like some people wanted but it is a collection of all very good songs as well as some amazing songs and when I think about it I can say the only weakness is having ASAP Forever REMIX instead of the original and ASAP Rocky doing that weird Mac Demarco s*** on Kids Turned Out Fine (which is also not an entirely bad song in of itself)

Even the loosies from that era aside from Bad Company (now that song is indefensible mid to me) and 5ive $tar$ are excellent

All in all it is the project that has stuck with me the most from 2018 and a VERY replayable one overall.

(I still hate Rocky btw)
