Ngl I think Alch is on Madlib's level but it feels like the "Alch > Madlib" takes only really happening cuz Alch gets to drop when he wants, so we get to hear all the crazy s*** he does as soon as it's done..

I can't count Madlib out until I hear that album he has with Pusha.

When it comes to collab projects, Madlib only has three solid ones, Madvilliany, Champion Sound and Pinata. So Al wins there.

For solo joints, Madlib is the clear winner.

But it's not a 1-1 thing, it's just that Madlib does so many solo instrumental projects while Al does so many collaborations. It's hard to say who's the better of the two....

Unless you compare artist that collab with both of them which only happens to be Freddie Gibbs
